Discover Dogs 2015 – London’s Biggest Dog Event
I first attended Discover Dogs, an enormous dog event in London, two years ago. I had just moved into my first house and I was finally ready, after years of patiently waiting, to get a dog. I had narrowed down the breeds I was interested in down to three, but I wanted to meet the breeds and ask their owners some of the very many questions I had for them. I learnt so much from that day, and it lead me and my husband to getting Bruce our Airedale Terrier. Now, as a puppy parent, I am very much excited to be returning to Discover Dogs 2015, in a couple of weeks time.
On the 17-18th October, ExCel London will be taken over by hundreds of dogs, their owners and shopping stalls for an extravaganza of dog fun. The biggest draw of the event is to meet all the different breeds of dogs and talk to owners about what it’s like to own them. You get a real insight into different breeds, from their temperament and personality to owning costs and grooming commitments, as well as picking up plenty of advice and insider tips and tricks. You get to interact with the dogs and maybe have a little cuddle or two, and it really is a must do for anyone contemplating dog ownership. For a little glimpse into the wonders of Discover Dogs, take a look at this lovely post from a couple of years ago on Beauty Junkie London.
For anyone who isn’t thinking about getting a dog, or already has one, there is also plenty to enjoy. Dog lovers will adore getting to spend a day in the company of hundreds of hounds, and the shopping is great – you’ll find many new brands to treat your pets too. Guess where Bruce’s birthday presents will be coming from this year!
If shopping and making friends with hundreds of dogs isn’t enough for you, then you’ll be pleased to hear that there’s a range of fun events and competitions taking place including Scruffts, Discover Dogs agility shows, and herding shows.
I for one am very excited about heading to Discover Dogs 2015. If you’d like to come too advance tickets are £14.30 for adults, and children under 12 go free. Get your Discover Dogs tickets here. See you there!
